Mountain View hospital officially opened their $10.5 million wing Thursday morning.
Officials from the hospital, city of Idaho Falls and Chamber of Commerce all came out to cut the ribbon.
Once the ceremony was over the hospital allowed their guests to tour the new facility. The expansion has added 17 patient rooms and doubled the size of their nursery.
Mountain View Hospital says for the last year they've constantly been at 90% or full capacity, which is the main reason why they decided to take on the expansion project.
The new wing will also add an additional 35 jobs to the hospital.
