Whether to help a patient rehabilitate from surgery or an injury, or to simply assist someone regain a healthy body, Mountain View Hospital’s Physical Therapy offers the most broadly based program and the most versatile exercise regimens. And all therapies are individually designed for each patient. Mountain View Physical Therapy also provides patients and patrons with the best PT facility available anywhere in Eastern Idaho. With its exercise pool, the indoor track, and wide range of exercise equipment, people can improve and maintain their overall health as well as working specific parts of the body when recovering from surgery of injury.

Mountain View Physical Therapy performs at a higher level so you can perform at a higher level. The differences between our facility and any other physical therapy offices, begin with our large exercise pool enabling low-impact strengthening and conditioning not available at other physical therapy centers, and our indoor track allowing an expanded variety of treatment therapies. Secondly, our staff incorporates licensed physical therapists, PT assistants, occupational therapists, and athletic trainers to meet exactly what each patient needs. Our convenient east side and west side locations and extended hours of operation mean easy access for you. We take a long-term look at your health. Patients, once they complete their therapy retain free access to our exercise equipment. And with our extended hours, you exercise at your convenience. Thorough patient education informs all treatment regimens. Patients learn why specific exercises benefit them in specific ways. Because you understand why you are doing a certain set of exercises, you are better able to apply that knowledge to your program. The alos helps you see and measure your success.

Your physician is kept informed of what your specific program of rehabilitation is and your progress. We recognize that your health is a partnership involving you, your doctor, and Mountain View Physical Therapy. Your doctor will always be in the loop.

 

What you can expect?

Your treatment program is based on your needs married to recovery principles. Your physical therapy is aimed at reducing pain, improving your range of motion, increasing strength and endurance, and promoting quick return to daily function. At Mountain View Physical Therapy, therapists employ a wide range of integrated exercise programs incorporating exercise, education, and various modalities that include moist heat, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and deep-heating paraffin, as well as aerobic and toning equipment, best suited to your needs. Exercise is creatively integrated into a larger treatment plan to increase ease of movement, blood flow, strength, and endurance in the area and the surrounding tissues. Patient education underlies the success of any treatment plan. Our goal is your independence with a home program for long-term health.

Staff Expertise

           

Stephanie Liddle, MPT, ATC

Stephanie has a Bachelor's of Science in Athletic Training from Boise State and a Master's of Science in Physical Therapy from Idaho State University. She has worked professionally with the U. S. Olympic skating teams, the Four Continents Figure Skating Championships, the U.S. Farm Figure Skating Championships, and the Hockey Sled Team. Stephanie's areas of specialty include lower extremity athletic injury recovery, especially with cycling and running athletes. She has service on the State Board Of Medicine-Physical Therapy Advisory Board, the Physical Therapy Board, and she remains an adjunct professor at Boise State University.

  George Chudleigh, MS, PT

George received his Bachelor's of Science in Physical Therapy from Brigham Young University and his Master's of Science in Physical Therapy from North Georgia College. He has 15 years of experience in acute care and outpatient settings and is a certified would specialist credentialed from the American Academy of Wound Management. In addition to being an instructor at Idaho State University's Physical Therapy and Physical Therapy Assistant programs, George has presented at multiple regional and national professional conferences.

  Shari Sampson, MPT, CSCS

Shari Sampson, MPT, CSCS. Shari graduated with a Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) from Idaho State University. Previously, she earned her Master of Science (MS) in Chemical Engineering and Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mathematics. Additionally, Shari is ASTYM-certified and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). Being one of the only ASTYM-certified therapists in Idaho, she uses unique tools and a specialized massage technique that is especially helpful in tendinitis issues, including the elbow, knee, and foot. The ASTYM process has been found to be effective even when other therapies have failed.

  Lynn Sanford, MPT, CFCE

Lynn has a Master of Physical Therapy degree from Idaho State University graduating Cum Laude and Magna Cum Laude with her graduate and undergraduate work.  She received advanced clinical training and certification as a functional capacity evaluator and has specialized training in balance, geriatric, and orthopedic rehabilitation.  She presented posture research at the American Physical Therapy Association Combined Sections Meeting and the abstract was published in the Journal of Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy 2002;32:A-24.

  Aaron F. Lowry, OTR/L

After attending BYU-Idaho, Aaron attended the University of North Dakota where he graduated Magna Cume Laude with his Bachelor's of Science in Occupational Therapy in 2000. Throughout his career, upper extremity rehabilitation has always been an area of practice and passion.  Aaron specializes in sport related injuries and in general orthopedic treatment of the shoulder and elbow, with a sub-specialty interest in hand and wrist conditions and injuries.   Over the last 10 years Aaron has worked closely with several hand surgeons in the area keeping him up to date and current in the his field of therapy.  Aaron feels privileged to be one of the few hand therapists here in the Idaho Falls area.

  Kevin Ward DPT

Kevin graduated from Brigham Young University-Idaho with his Bachelor of Science in Biology with an emphasis in Human anatomy and physiology.  Kevin went on to receive his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Idaho State University.  His clinical rotations focused on outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation; including post-surgical rehab, general orthopedic conditions, and sports related injuries.  He also did an 8 week internship with a primary focus on using the McKenzie Method of treating neck and low back injuries.
