Surgery

The Surgery Department at Mountain View Hospital is comprised of five state-of-the-art operating suites, a comprehensive Endodiagnostic Center, a Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) with 26 beds, and an Outpatient Care Unit.

A full range of specialty services are available, including Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Thoracic, Gynecology, Vascular, ENT, Ophthalmology, Dental, Plastics, Urology, Gastroenterology, Pediatrics and Pain Management, etc… with 150 surgeons credentialed to operate within the Surgery Center.

Scheduling

Surgery is scheduled by the physician and/or staff contacting the Surgery Center. The patient care is organized and delivered by a dedicated specialty team.

Surgery

The surgery department consists of a pre-surgery registration area, and the outpatient pre-operative assessment area. The registration area is located on the first floor of Mountain View Hospital, and consists of a large patient and family waiting area, business/admitting office and several pre/post-operative interview rooms. Surgery can be scheduled Monday through Friday, up to four weeks prior to the planned day of surgery. For patient convenience, all of the amenities needed to complete most routine surgeries, assessment and testing are located within or near the surgery department. Every effort is made to insure the most adequate care is given to each patient.
